Nadine Shurafah, a pre-med student at the University of Toronto and leader of the Occupy Toronto group that erected the encampment at the University and called on UOT to divest from Israeli industries and weapon makers as well as from contacts with Israeli universities aiding the genocidal war. Mohamed Jaberi, leader of Toronto For Peace working to expose complicity with Israel’s war on Gaza and the massacres of civilians. He organized daily protests in Toronto and kept the Palestinian issues on the front burner of daily news.
